The paths leading to the Fallère and Chaligne refuges are among the most trodden by hikers who choose the Aosta Valley as their summer holiday destination. And every two years they are also the scene of an ultratrail race that offers an unparalleled panorama of the Vallée's four four-thousand-metre peaks. After a year's absence, due to the biennial formula, on Saturday 2 August there will be a return to running around the Fallère, with two routes that wink at both the more trained athletes and those who want to run a less demanding distance.
