Access

At the A5 motorway exit of Châtillon, follow the signs for Cervinia until you reach Antey-Saint-André. When you reach the hamlet of Filey, take the SR9 road on the left for Torgnon and follow it until you reach the main town. Continue following the signs for the cross-country ski track and picnic area until you reach the Chantorné picnic area, pass it, and continue along the tarmac road until you reach a lovely plateau with a little white chapel on the left. Go round it with a wide curve, and a few metres after the sharp bend from which a dirt track branches off, leave the car on the right in the shade of a lone larch tree, after travelling some 10 km and 800 metres from the Antey-Saint-André crossroads.

Description

From the car park, proceed along the footpath that departs near the bar-restaurant "La Vierdze" and skirt the Chantorné picnic area. Continue through the short spruce forest until you first cross the Nordic skiing track. Once past the track, continue further into the forest before meeting the track again. Continue on the same, making a wide bend to the right before reaching, amidst sparse larches, the Pian Porion esplanade.
