itinerary which runs along the seyvaz valley, climbing up along the stream to join the grand etret glacier. very well marked. hard track or compact snow. beautiful view of the piedmontese valley behind, the peaks of piedmont and vanoise. beautiful view of punata fourà and, climbing up to ciarforon, becca di monciair and denti del broglio. on the descent throughout the glacier section i found powder snow. then when you get back into the semi-flat valley, it's best to take advantage of the uphill/downhill tracks. a cold wind accompanied me for almost the entire ascent, which in the morning is all in the shade. sun at the col.
