Punta Fetita, from Vedun

Introduction

Unfortunately little-known excursion offering a stupendous panorama of Mont Blanc.

Description

From the little square in Vedun, where you leave your car, take the inter-modern road and follow it as far as the Clapey huts. In this section, follow the old mule track as far as you can, which is steeper but also faster. Continue along the flat road until you come to another road on the left. Follow it until you come out into a beautiful clearing, at the beginning of which you begin to climb to the left into the sparse forest until you come out onto the wide crest. From this point, the view of the Mont Blanc chain is particularly beautiful. Follow the wide crest to the right, pass the col de Bard and continue along the wide slopes without any obligatory path to the broad peak of the Punta Fetita. Descend directly down the wide slopes to the huts. Move gradually to the right along clearings and stretches of sparse larch woodland until you reach the road again, which you follow as far as Vedun.
