Parking at Pederu Pay road €7 in summer 2011. There is otherwise a bus to Pederu. €4 per person single rideDescription
From the Pederu Refuge (1584m), follow path no. 7, which is well marked even though the classic CAI red and white marks are missing, to the Lavarella Refuge (2042m) 1hr45. The path continues with ups and downs on the beautiful Fanes plateau. The panorama is truly exceptional. We continue to the JU DLA CRUSC pass (2612m), where the path from San Leonardo and the Sta Croce hospice (ferrata) also arrives. From here we turn right and continue to climb on the comfortable path 7B until we reach the fork that indicates the L Ciaval on the left and the Sasso delle dieci on the right. With one last climb, we are at the summit (2907m). I imagine that in good weather you can enjoy a wonderful panorama. Unfortunately, when we went the clouds were quite low......... We took the same route back, but at the junction with path no. 12 to the Lavarella refuge, we followed path no. 12. Unfortunately, on the descent from the Ju dla Crusc pass onwards we hiked all the way down under continuous water, which made the route rather uncomfortable because the stones covering both path no. 7 and path no. 12 had become slippery. For us, definitely a hike to do again in good weather. Beware, the walk is easy but very long. Water only present in the refuges and the whole trail is in the sun. Don't forget your hat!
