Introduction

Trail that climbs from Fontanabuona towards the ridge dominated by the Montallegro Sanctuary, in a beautiful, well-preserved and all in all lonely environment.

Description

The path (2 empty red rhombuses, 600 m difference in altitude, walking time 2h\2h30m total) rises up past a few houses and sometimes the road, in spring there are very restful colours to the view...
On reaching the ridge, you soon reach the Sanctuary, with beautiful views towards Rapallo , Santa Margherita, Portofino, the Margherita refuge on Monte Pegge, etc.
After the break, rather than retracing one's steps, one goes past the restaurant, along the path to Chiavari and, after a couple of minutes when the path tends to a short ascent, one keeps to the left on a wide path that shortly afterwards joins one marked with conspicuous yellow notches (by the Enel?) that cuts across the northern slope of Monte Rosa della Fontanabona on a level surface. Afterwards, you join the main road almost at the point where the two red triangles descend towards Canevale, about 1h
After Canevale, there is no longer any signpost and you descend on asphalt, with very little traffic, to Piani di Coreglia, where you turn left on a secondary road to Pian dei Manzi, where you will find your car again (1h)

Note that while there are many people near the Sanctuary, we met practically no one on the two uphill and downhill routes
