Tita Secchi Refuge, from Malga Cadino
Access
By car, one arrives from Malga Cadino (1804 m), near the Crode Domini Pass, where there are a few parking spaces (clearing on the valley side of the road)
.Introduction
The access path is very comfortable and leads to a beautiful hut.
Description
We follow the dirt track to the end; for a few dozen metres, the track is covered with very fine sand, so much so that it seems to be... in another environment... We find ourselves at the Corna Bianca di Cadino: a new route prepared for easier access (since 2013) and costing 180,000 € divided between the Rifugio, Parco Adamello and Edison. For a moment, we descend briefly. The old 'zeta' path has been decommissioned; it is unsafe because of the rock fragments that can always fall... The route is perfect and you arrive from the Passo della Vacca (so called because of a rock in the area that resembles a cow...). You lose a few metres of altitude before the refuge. Next to it is a large lake.
The Tita Secchi refuge 2367 m was built in 1992. After a suitable break we return to the car on our own steps.
All in all: good day x weather descent 600m Dif. T/E x approx. 3h45 Tot. (2h15 and 1h30 ret.) + all the breaks to see the various places you come across
Average ride comfort: Very good
