Soria-Ellena Refuge, from San Giacomo di Entracque

Introduction

An itinerary in the sign of the lammergeyer, in fact it is in this area that there is the release site for the young for the Maritime Alps Park area. Description

From San Giacomo di Entracque 1213 m, follow a dirt road that climbs through a beautiful beech wood and enters the Gesso della Barra valley to reach Gias Sterpis. From here the path, always uphill, first reaches Passo di Peirastreccia (1686) and then a plateau (Pian del Praiet), from which, after crossing a small stream, you arrive at Rifugio Soria Ellena (1840).
