Lemon Trail, from Maiori

Access
Refer to Maiori, via Amalfitana. The starting point is the Collegiata di Santa Maria a Mare, located near the centre of Maiori. Those arriving by car can park in the public areas or in the car parks near the church.
The route is also served by public transport: SITA buses connect Maiori with other towns along the Coast.
Introduction
The Sentiero dei Limoni (Lemon Path) is a short but intense walk that connects Maiori to Minori through terraces, glimpses of the sea and cultivations of 'Sfusato Amalfitano' lemons. It is a route that leads one to rediscover the rural memory of the Amalfi Coast: ancient mule tracks, stairs, hidden gardens and the scent of citrus fruits accompany the walk. It is not only nature, but also local history: these paths were used in the past to transport lemons from the cultivations to the beaches, from where they were shipped.
Description
0h00' Departure from Maiori, from the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria a Mare, a point recognisable by its majolica-tiled dome. Exit the church and take Via Vena, which climbs immediately through a series of steps set into the urban fabric.
0h15' After the first steep section, the path opens out onto a terraced valley. On your left and right, lemon groves, olive trees, vines and typical Mediterranean scrub vegetation begin to appear.
0h30' Arrival at the village of Torre (Minori), an ancient hamlet with the Church of San Michele Arcangelo. Here the path offers one of the most beautiful viewpoints: the "Mortella" belvedere, where the myrtle and terraces dominate the view of the sea and the mountains on the horizon.
0h45' From the village of Torre, begin the descent towards Minori. The route descends between steps, alleyways between stone houses, cultivated gardens and views of the sea, until reaching the centre of Minori.
1h00' Arrival at the Basilica of Santa Trofimena; close the route with a stop at the local patisseries, perhaps tasting lemon cakes, like those celebrated on the Amalfi Coast.
