Exiting Albisola from the , head towards Savona and then in the direction of the centre. After crossing the Letimbro river, drive back upstream to the Il Gabbiano shopping centre where you will leave your vehicle.
.Introduction
Unusual route just a stone's throw from the city of Savona, pity that the Fie signs are only theoretical, being almost absent in practice.
Description
From Via Scotti, a side street of Corso Ricci, a flight of steps begins the route leading past the railway line. You immediately turn left and then right. One immediately climbs a little steeply. Slowly, the panorama opens up and we reach, quite quickly, the 17th-century church of Madonna degli Angeli (165 m). Beyond the religious building, the route continues and at a crossroads you keep to the right on the level, but this is short-lived. In fact, at the next crossroads, we turn left on a steep incline. You catch a glimpse of the walls of the fort, built by the House of Savoy in 1881, until you reach its access road. To the right, you can deviate to briefly visit the structure, which is abandoned (so be careful!) at an altitude of 235 m. Retracing your steps, the dirt road cuts across the mountain. You join the asphalt road and immediately descend to the left. Ignoring a first fork, turn right at the second one (towards Conca Verde). Still on the road, turn left at the next fork. A descent begins until a sharp bend where you proceed straight ahead. Where the asphalt road ends at a gate, take an obvious path to the right that descends through the vegetation to a group of rural buildings (Case Coppi). At the next crossroads, continue straight on until you find the outskirts of Savona. Now the most tedious part begins: you cross the industrial area and the outskirts, heading eastwards, until you return from the car park (tot 3h15).
In summary: Disl. 300 mt - Dif. T/E - 10 km for about 3h15 Tot. + all the breaks to see the various places you come across Comfort: poor at the beginning, then good. Best period: from autumn to spring Weather: very good in the morning, a bit cloudy in the middle of the day.
