Introduction
Beautiful excursion in the dolomite environment, one of the most beautiful environments in the Valsassina. Also doable in winter, naturally with ice axe and crampons.
Description
From the car park (800m) follow the road with a few shortcuts to the Piani di Bobbio and the Lecco refuge (1700m). You enter the Camosci valley by following some red marks that lead to the bottom of the same to go up the other side where the Camosci gullies begin, on the left and the Madonna on the right.
You go up the Camosci gully on some tracks interrupted by landslides and stones until a little jump. Tracks to the left lead out of the gully and over steep grassy and rocky slopes to the ridge and summit. If you want to remain in the gully, go over the small jump by a narrow path on the left and continue to a point where the gully forks. The right-hand branch leads to the Cristo degli Alpini, the left to the crest. Follow the ridge to the left until a notch with chains, after which you reach the summit. Anticipate 3h30' - 4h00'.
For the descent, if you want to avoid the scree of the gully, you can descend towards Artavaggio, reach the path of the stradini (beautiful ledge with chains) and return via it to the Bobbio plateau.
