The Croce di Campo hut is located on a splendid panoramic pulpit on the southern slopes of the Cima delle Pianchette and Pizzo di Gino, the dominant peak of the Lepontine Alps.

Description

In summer, it is a support point on the ALTA VIA dei MONTI LARIANI, on the SENTIERO DELLE 4 VALLI, and a destination for easy walks from the villages at the bottom of the valley. It offers circular, THEMATIC routes (Sentiero delle Trincee, Sentiero delle Coppelle, Via del Ferro) appreciated for school and educational tourism. It can be reached by MTB and 4X4 from S. Nazzaro.
In winter it is a destination for snowshoers and ski mountaineers, on the classic climb of the Cima delle Pianchette (MS) from S. Nazzaro Val Cavargna.
