Obstanser Lake

Introduction

At the foot of the Roßkopf is the Obstansersee lake, which at 2ha is not only one of the largest, but also one of the most beautiful lakes in the Carnic chain. There are usually no fish in the mountain lakes unless they have been brought there. In the Obstansersee, there are fish that could still date back to the time of Emperor Maximilian I, who used many mountain lakes as fishing waters.
