Lägh from Cam
Introduction
A small lake in the middle of the Cama valley, which is part of the "La via dei grotti" route, linking the Mesolcina with the Lake Como area, via the Notar pass in the Bodengo valley. On the ascent from Lake Cama towards the bocchetta, you come across Lake Sambrog. The basin is characterised by a beautiful flat surface and is very popular in summer. The ascent involves about 700 metres of climbing up steps, stuff to kill your quadriceps. Access routes: 1) From Cama: climb along the Cama valley, a side valley of the Mesolcina. Well shaded thanks to the thick forest of chestnut trees at the bottom, then beech and finally conifers. 2) From the Bodengo valley: ascent to the Notar pass, and descent to the small lake.
